Fees and Billing Policy
Tamworth General Practice is a mixed billing clinic, offering a combination of bulk-billed and privately billed services. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please speak with our practice manager to discuss available options.​
Standard Consultation (up to 15 minutes) - $112 ($128 on weekends and after hours)
Non-attendance or cancellation within 4 hours of an appointment $35
Dr Alphonsus and Dr Balasooriya will bulk bill health card holders and children for all subsequent visits, after the initial paid visit.
Telephone consultations must be pre-paid at the time of booking
If you have a chronic condition requiring frequent visits please discuss fees with your doctor
Please enquire with reception, if your visit will involve extra time (for example complex or multiple issues, counselling) or extra services (for example skin excision, PAP smear)
Please discuss the Skin Cancer doctor's fees with reception
Transfer of medical records to another practice: $100+GST per patient ($50+GST for pensioners)
