Drug prescribing policy. Strictly no drugs of addiction (including opiates and benzodiazepines) will be prescribed at any first visit by a new patient.

If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, like cough, sneeze, runny eyes or nose, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, please book a phone consultation or speak to reception BEFORE attending the practice.

Tamworth General Practice is now providing over the phone consultations. Phone Consultations are now available to all patients. Certificates, scripts, referrals, pathology and XRay forms can be emailed or faxed when needed.

Who should book a phone consult at Tamworth General Practice?
If you have any flu-like symptoms including cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath OR if you have returned from overseas in last 2 weeks or have been in contact with anyone who has arrived in last 2 weeks then we do not want to see you at the clinic, but happy to assist you over the phone.
